Free Treatments
We are sometimes asked to provide a free taster day, usually on the promise that a programme of regular therapy days will be initiated if the free trial is a success. For the reasons stated below, our policy is that there are no circumstances under which we provide free trials. We do however provide discounts in return for advance orders (e.g. 6 months of therapy days ordered in advance).
Valuing the therapist:
In order to gain qualifications a professional therapist has dedicated a considerable amount of time to their training (in some cases several years) and this training is usually self financed. They have also taken care to be properly insured and to acquire the appropriate equipment to carry out their treatments. We believe that therapists should always charge an appropriate fee for their services and that failure to do so undervalues the industry as whole.
Lack of internal 'buy-in' to employee wellbeing:
We believe that a request for free treatments shows that the company may not have full internal support for carrying out a programme of office based therapy. Even if the free taster day proves extremely popular with employees there may be problems in gaining the appropriate sign off for a regular company wellbeing programme.
Try a 'Lunchtime Lift' session:
If you would like to trial our services then why not book a 'Lunchtime Lift' session for a handful of staff who can then give their assessment of the trial. For £79 + VAT (not including parking costs) we'll offer you a therapist for 2 hours if you agree to book subsequent therapy days following a successful trial.
*A trial session is only available to companies with whom we have conditionally agreed prices, regularity of subsequent therapy days and terms of service.
We hope to encourage other therapy companies and individual therapists to resist from providing free treatments and to dissuade companies for asking for free taster sessions.
